Chat badges
Every badge that can appear next to a name in chat, what it means, and how it is earned or given.
Badges come in two kinds. Cosmetic badges are yours to keep and yours to choose between: you can own several and pick which one chat shows from the badge picker next to the chat input, or from the dashboard Settings tab. Role badges are not owned and not selectable; they describe what you are in that specific channel right now, and they appear on their own.
Every badge is a single vector asset drawn on the same 32 by 32 tile with a 7 pixel corner radius, one flat glyph and one colour no other badge uses. Each is shown below at 96 pixels, at its natural 32, and at 17, with a sample chat line underneath so you can see how it actually reads at the size chat renders it.
Cosmetic badges#
Regular
Any subscription tier that includes a chat badge.
The baseline supporter badge. Every paid tier grants it, so it is the one you keep if you hold a tier with no badge of its own.
Baron
Included with the Baron subscription tier.
Replaces Regular while the tier is active. See pricing for what else the tier unlocks.
King
Included with the King subscription tier.
The highest tier badge. See pricing for the full perk list.
Founder
Not currently available.
The art and the mechanics exist, but the badge is not being sold and is not obtainable by any other route right now. It is listed here so the set is complete.
Ambassador
Automatic, for the first 1000 accounts on the site.
Granted at signup while the site is still under a thousand registered accounts. Cannot be bought and cannot be earned once the slots are used up.
Recruiter
Automatic, once 10 people have signed up with your referral code and verified their email.
Your referral code and link are in the dashboard. Only verified accounts count towards the ten, so a signup that never confirms its address does not move you closer. There is no limit on how many people can earn it.
Lucky
Automatic, on a one in a million roll every time you send a chat message.
The rarest badge on the site and the only one that is pure chance. There is nothing to do but talk in chat. Nobody can grant it to you and it cannot be bought.
Bug bounty
Given by staff for reporting a critical bug.
There is no automatic trigger and no form. Report something serious through the Discord in the navbar and staff assign it by hand.
Partner
Given by staff to partnered channels.
Shown by default ahead of every other cosmetic badge you own, though you can still choose a different one. It also marks the channel itself, not just your chat messages.
Role badges#
These are not owned and cannot be selected. They reflect your standing in the channel you are currently watching, so the same account can show a role badge in one chat and nothing in another.
Owner
Shown to the streamer in their own channel.
Moderator
Given by the channel owner with the mod command.
VIP
Given by the channel owner with the vip command.
Staff
Site staff. Shown in every channel.
Bot
Marks an account registered as a chat bot. See the chat bot documentation.
Unverified
Shown while an account has not confirmed its email address.
It disappears on its own once you click the link in the verification email. Resend it from the dashboard if it never arrived.
Choosing which badge shows#
Chat shows one cosmetic badge at a time. If you own several, open the badge picker next to the chat input and choose. With no explicit choice, Partner wins if you have it, then your highest paid tier badge, then whatever else you own. You can also choose to show none at all.
Role badges are separate and are not affected by that choice. Banned accounts show no badges of any kind.
